The Museum of Classical Archaeology offers a fine collection of ancient Greek ceramics, with a wide range of different shapes and decorative techniques.

The Museum of Classical Archaeology also houses original artifacts from ancient Italy, Egypt, Petra, Boeotia, Persia, and Corinth.

The artifacts include a wide variety of objects, including ceramic ware, sculpture, lamps, bronze medical instruments, coins, and an assortment of specific interest items.

Included in the display are short but detailed explanations which supply background information and intended function of each object.
The Museum is housed in the Department of Classics, on the ground floor of the Memorial Tower Building of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban and is open for public viewing during the academic year.
